Why Volunteer With Soul Sisters?

Volunteering with us means joining a community that values your lived experience, your passion, and your strengths. We use a strengths-based approach, this means we start by asking you what you’re good at, what you’re interested in, and what you want to learn. Then we match you with a role that makes the most of your skills and helps you grow.

We’re looking for volunteers who can commit to at least 12 months. Why? Because we invest in your development through training, mentorship, and ongoing support. In return, we ask for your time, consistency, and heart. After a year, we’re also happy to provide references for employment, education, or other opportunities

What You’ll Get:

  • Trauma-informed peer support training
  • Monthly online drop-in sessions for peer connection, reflection, and updates
  • One-to-one check-ins to talk about your goals and progress
  • A chance to build confidence, use your lived experience meaningfully, and develop new skills
  • Support into work, education, or personal development—we’ve had volunteers go on to university, paid roles in the sector, and more
  • A supportive, inclusive, and empowering community
